Formerly, the celebrated American schooner America, the Royal Yacht Squadron's Camilla was owned by Henry Montagu Upton (1799-1863), 2nd Viscount Templeton. In 1860, Camilla was sold to the Confederate States of America and used as a blockade runner during the American Civil War.
