The demi-lune brèche violette marble top above a frieze centred by satyrs carrying a drunken Bacchus flanked by ribbon-tied swags, the central glazed panelled door with relief plaque depicting love birds inclosing a cream silk-lined interior with two adjustable shelves, the sides with glazed panels, the angles headed by Pan masks supporting musical trophies, on foliate-headed cabriole legs tapering to scrolled sabots, the reverse of the lockplate stamped '239/ 'CT LINKE/SERRURERIE/PARIS'

Richly embellished with gilt-bronze scrolling acanthus, putti and musical attributes this vitrine is a more elaborate version of Index Number 1151, an example of which sold A Private Collection: Volume I, Sotheby’s, New York, 26 October 2006, lot 46 ($30,000).
