The demi-lune brèche violette marble top above a frieze centred by satyrs carrying a drunken Bacchus flanked by ribbon-tied swags, the central glazed panelled door with relief plaque depicting love birds inclosing a cream silk-lined interior with two adjustable shelves, the sides with glazed panels, the angles headed by Pan masks supporting musical trophies, on foliate-headed cabriole legs tapering to scrolled sabots, the reverse of the lockplate stamped '239/ 'CT LINKE/SERRURERIE/PARIS'
