the complete set of 125 lithographs in sanguine and one printed in black, in and hors-texte, text in French, title page and justification, signed by the author and the artist on the justification, signed and dedicated 'á Monsieur Tutin, avec mon sentiments H. Matisse Nice, Feb, 1949' on the title page, copy 96 of 300 (there were also 20 hors-commerce copies in Roman numerals), each the full sheet, pale foxing in places throuhgout, otherwise generally in good condition, original paper covered boards with purple suede spine and slipcase with lithographic paper wrapper (minor wear) 15¼ x 11¾ in. (387 x 299 mm.)
