Attributed to de Espinosa by Stirling-Maxwell (on the mount), this study can be compared to the head of God the Holy Spirit in The Trinity, a drawing in the National Library of Spain, Madrid (D. Angulo and A.E. Pérez Sánchez, A Corpus of Spanish Drawings: Volume Four: Valencia: 1600-1700, New York, 1988, IV, no. 77, pl. XXVIII).

We are grateful for Benito Navarrete Prieto for endorsing the attribution to Espinosa on the basis of a digital photograph.
