A BLUE AND WHITE WINE POT
CHINA, TRANSITIONAL PERIOD, 17TH CENTURY

This peach-shaped wine pot was found in the Hatcher Junk discovered by Captain Michael Hatcher in the South China Sea in the early 1980s. It has been proved that the whole cargo, mostly blue and white pieces, was made circa 1643 as several pieces are dated 1643.
