Couples promenading in the Tuileries Gardens, Paris

A convivial and large gathering of couples promenading in the celebrated Tuileries Gardens of Paris in the summer. A larger watercolour of this subject, unfinished, is in the Huntington Museum, San Marino, California (R. Wark, Drawings by Thomas Rowlandson, San Marino, 1975, no. 192.)
