注意事項
On occasion, Christie's has a direct financial interest in the outcome of the sale of certain lots consigned for sale. This will usually be where it has guaranteed to the Seller that whatever the outcome of the auction, the Seller will receive a minimum sale price for the work. This is known as a minimum price guarantee. This is a lot where Christie’s holds a direct financial guarantee interest.

This plate possibly corresponds with a service purchased by Marie Herbin, Madame Lair, a Parisian marchand-mercier between 15 June and 25 October 1761, which probably included pieces decorated during an earlier period. See D. Peters, Sèvres Plates and Services of the 18th Century, Little Berkhamsted, 2005, vol. II, p. 329. Also compare the very similarly decorated plates from this service in the collection of HRH Elizabeth II illustrated by G. de Bellaige, French Porcleain in the Collection of Her Majesty the Queen, London, 2009, pp. 576-7, no. 139.
