An related pair of candlesticks with slightly different bases by Claude Galle was delivered in 1805 to the Château de Fontainebleau, illustrated in J.P.
These present candlesticks were possibly in the collection of famed decorator François Catroux and his wife Betty, muse to Yves Saint Laurent.
