據我們研究，此拍品是初次在拍場上亮相。型號5496的鉑金腕錶於2011巴塞爾鐘錶展初次登場，取代同系列第一代配備萬年曆及逆返日曆的型號5050。萬年曆、逆返日曆、銀色錶盤及39.5毫米鉑金錶殼（受1930年代著名的Calatrava 型號96啟發）這個具標誌性的組合，讓此腕錶迅即令人留下深刻印象。
