拍品專文

This bottle may have been a reliquary vessel, that would have been placed in the crypt of a temple or pagoda. It has been suggested that the shape of this bottle may have derived from the transparent pale blue glass bottles of Iranian origin, made in the 9th-10th centuries, such as the example illustrated in Delicacy and Glamour - Ancient Chinese Glasswork, National Museum of History, Taiwan, 2000, p. 94 (top).
