Each side painted with figures in river landscapes, one with a bridge and a statue, within shaped quatrefoil gilt cartouches with lustrous panels edged with iron-red and purple scrolls surrounded by sprays of indianische Blumen, the shallow domed cover with a continuous harbour scene, the handle and spout with gilt-metal mounts
