ROSEBANK

Rosebank acquired its name from the distillery's location next to River Carron’s rose-blooming bank. Rosebank used the rarely seen practice of triple distillation, which contributed to a fruity and floral character. The classic worm tub cooling method, used for condensing, imparted a full-bodied style, despite light colour. Rosebank was founded by James Rankin in 1840 but ceased production, and became a silent distillery in 1993. It has recently been acquired by Ian Macleod. Dating from those silent 25 years, the Flora and Fauna expressions, are sought after by collectors.
