A similar pair of wax figures exists portraying William and Sarah Siddons in Turkish costume, which were modelled by Henrietta Wade (1789-1851; E.J. Pyke, A Biographical Dictionary of Wax Modellers (Supplement), 1981, pl. 292A and dust jacket illustration). A group of 'Turkish' wax figures by the same maker were sold from the Private Collection of Jayne Wrightsman, Christie's, New York, 14 October 2020, lot 24.
