Les Grâces dans le Clair de Lune is a subject Ossip Zadkine often revisited, notably with his earlier 1928 sculpture of the same title, representing the Three Graces from Greek mythology; figures embodying beauty, charm, and joy. While these figures are traditionally depicted as idealised female forms, Zadkine’s interpretation highlights both movement and emotion, merging classical influences with his distinctive modernist style.
