Introduced in 1996, Patek Philippe unveiled the groundbreaking reference 5035; the world's first self-winding wristwatch to feature an annual calendar, meaning it only had to be set once a year. This newly invented calendar complication would lay down the foundation for a plethora of future models to utilize this functional and more-approachable calendar in terms of price point. Powering this watch is the Caliber 315 S QA 24H that impressively fits into a 37 millimeter case with a slim profile of only 11mm.
The present timepiece has a very attractive configuration with a heavy platinum case, applied luminous Roman hour markers, and luminous leaf hands. The watch has a screw-in sapphire caseback which aids with water-resistance while showcasing the monumental movement.
