拍品專文

Chaturbhuja Mahakala is a four-armed wrathful protector associated with the Chakrasamvara tantric cycle of teachings. His terrifying face, skull-faced crown, garland of severed heads, and tiger skin skirt convey his terrifying appearance meant as an opponent to obstacles on a practitioner's tantric practice. Other non-gilded examples with stout gana-like bodies are illustrated on HAR 20066 and HAR 68324.
