The President of the United States of America and the Prime Minister, Mr. Churchill, representing His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom, being met together, deem it right to make known certain common principles in the national policies of their respective countries on which they base their hopes for a better future for the world… n.p. 14 April 1941. Signed ("Franklin D. Roosevelt") and ("Winston S. Churchill"), Washington, May 1943.
Illustrated broadside, 514 x 337mm, printed on heavy stock paper with gilt patriotic symbols at the corners and rope margins. Framed.
[With:] TRUMAN, Harry (1884-1972). Document signed ("Harry Truman") as President, Washington, 16 August 1949. One page, 390 x 500mm, with intact paper seal. Also signed by Dean ACHESON as Secretary of War. A presidential appointment of George M. Elsey as "Administrative Assistant to the President of the United States".
