[Laid-in:] DODGE. Autograph letter signed ("Mary Mapes Dodge") to J.W. Hambry, New York, 10 April 1891. 2 pages, 8vo. "As soon as practicable I shall endeavor to send you the ms. verses or prose sketch you have asked for..." She refers him to the biographical sketch of her life in Stedman and Hutchinson, Library of American Literature; Hamby was preparing an entry for an encyclopedia and was requesting information from Dodge.
