Arabic manuscript on cream paper, 292ff. plus 6 fly-leaves, each folio with 15ll. of large black naskh within outer margins of gold and red, sura headings between similar interlinear divisions, green and gold rosettes between verses and juz markers in gold roundels in the margins, opening folios with gold calligraphy outlined in black within similar panels, colophon signed Sha'ban al-Qurbaki al-Daghastani and later dated 1225, the binding of dark brown morocco with applied filigree spandrels and central lozenge, within the spandrels cusped silver panels with niello decoration, the central lozenges with Russian silver panels with polychrome enamel decoration in the form of floral motifs within and around a cusped cartouche issuing palmettes with central cruciform motif, the spine with similar filigree lozenges and two link chains, loose in binding

There is a note at the end of the manuscript saying that 'Umri ibn 'Ali al-Kubachi of Daghistan ordered the Qur'an to be copied in 1225. The colophon of the manuscript is similarly dated. However in both cases, there are signs that the middle two digits have been altered and they probably originally read either 1325 or 1335.
