A GREEK TERRACOTTA GOAT RATTLE
4TH-3RD CENTURY B.C.
The figure of a standing goat, with horns, beard and long curling hair, on integral base, loose rattle ball within the body, 5½ in. (14 cm.) high; a painted terracotta wild cat or lioness, seated on its haunches with head raised and turned to the right, remains of pink and yellow painted decoration, probably late Hellenistic or Roman Period, 1st Century B.C./A.D., 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm.) high; a Greek terracotta figure of a pantheress, walking to the right, with prominent teats and tail between legs, repaired, fragmentary, circa 300 B.C., Magna Graecia, 3¾ in. (9.4 cm.) high; and a terracotta roundel of convex form with standing horse in relief, 3 1/8 in. (8 cm.) diam. (4)
