A BRACE OF IMPERIAL GERMAN HUNTING HANGERS
LATE 19TH CENTURY, ONE BY GEBR. WEYERSBERG, SOLINGEN
Each with single-edged spear-point blade with etched and gilt ornament against a blued ground over much of their length, one with etched signature at the forte, cast and chased gilt-brass guard comprising collar decorated with oak leaves, downturned shell each bearing a differing crowned coat of arms, one identified for the State of Baden, and vertically recurved short quillons, natural staghorn grip, and gilt-brass pommel decorated with further oak leaves, in original gilt-brass mounted black leather scabbard with extra knife mounted en suite, and with bullion sword-knot
