FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED BY NERUDA TO POET JORGE RAMPONI. Pre-publication issue of three poems from Nerudas masterly Residencia en la Tierra, published later in 1935 by El Arbol. In the early 30s Neruda was posted to the diplomatic mission in Barcelona, and then Madrid where he became the focus of a literary circle that included Federico Garcia Lorca and Rafael Alberti. Both Spanish poets added their names to the long list of authors who dedicated this edition to Neruda. Neruda won the 1971 Nobel Prize for Literature.
