a 4 in. (10.2 cm.) silvered dial signed and numbered T.S. Negus & Co. 100 Wall ST. New York No.1026, Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minutes, subsidiary seconds and up-and-down dials, gold hour and minute hands, fusee movement within inner dust case with spotted plates, Earnshaw escapement, spring foot detent, cut bimetallic balance, poising and rating weights, blued steel helical balance spring, gimballed within brass bowl, three-tier brass bound mahogany box with recessed drop handles and inlaid with an engraved mother of pearl maker's plate at the front. With a service label from John Bliss & Co., New York on the inner lid.
