INDENTSecond Lieutenant Robert Henry Jones of Liverpool, joined the 6th Liverpools as a Rifleman September 1914, was sent to the Front February, 1915 and was entrenched before Hill 60 when it was blown up May, 1915; was invalided Home with wounds June, 1915 and returned to France in December; he was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, West Yorkshire Regiment July, 1916 and was wounded in the head by a rifle grenade 26 September, a few days after his appointment as an infantry officer - he died three days later. 2nd Lieutenant Jones, attached 18 Bn. West Yorkshire at the time of his death, was buried in Longuenesse Souvenir Cemetery, France
