Lot Essay

This series of hunting groups were first modelled in 1776 at the Sèvres manufactory, several of the groups by Blondeau and all after the painter and engraver Jean-Baptiste Oudry (1686-1755). For the models see Emile Bourgeois, Le Biscuit de Sèvres, Paris, 1909, pp. 20-21.
