TWO CONTINENTAL GOLD-MOUNTED FOB-SEALS, ONE HARDSTONE AND ONE GLASS

Faceted aquamarine seal, the burnished gold mount chased with scrolling foliage, the matrix engraved 'Davida' within floral wreath; together with a blue cobalt glass seal, the burnished gold mount and ring joined by four sablé gold lion's paws, the matrix engraved with a coat-of-arms
1½ in. (37 mm.) high; 1 9/16 in. (39 mm.) high, respectively
The arms are those of those of Choiseul-Praslin. 'Davida' probably refers to either Alix Eugénie Davida Laure de Choiseul-Praslin (1843-1878), wife of Charles Henri, Comte de Mercy-Argenteau, her mother Georgina Davida Schickler (1820-1849), wife of Edgard, Comte de Choiseul-Praslin (1806-1887), or her daughter Georgina Davida Marie Adélaide Françoise Marie de Mercy Argenteau (1864-1931).
