Christie’s announces Old Master Paintings: A Private Selling Exhibition, featuring an exceptional selection of rare and important European pictures, in collaboration with the art world’s principal Old Master Painting dealers. Spanning a period from 1400 to 1900, the exhibition will offer works by artists such as Corneille de Lyon, Jan Provoost, Gaspar van Wittel, Gaetano Gandolfi, Théodore Gericault and Richard Parkes Bonington. This remarkable selling exhibition is an exciting opportunity to view the world of Old Masters through the discerning eye of the dealer and coincides with the traditional New York Old Masters Week. The view will be open to the public in the new West Galleries.
