Impressionist and Modern Art

April 2021, Paris

English | Français

Christie’s Paris is delighted to present a series of two auctions of Impressionist and Modern Art. An online-only sale will take place from 7–19 April, complementing a curated sale of Impressionist and modern paintings, sculptures and works on paper — to be held in our Paris salesroom on 14 April.

The sale Oeuvres Modernes sur papier / Art Impressionniste et Moderne features a selection of works from three esteemed private collections, showcasing the breadth of collecting tastes for 20th century art. A seminal watercolour by Robert Delaunay, Le Manège des Cochons, is the top lot of the first section. Among others, divisionist masterpieces as well as paintings by Henri Martin and Emile Claus lead the second section.

Alongside this, The 20th Century Art Online Sale spotlights an eclectic ensemble of over 100 modern and contemporary works, exploring a wide range of media. Leading artists of the 19th and 20th centuries are celebrated, including Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Man Ray.

Viewing opens from 9-14 April at Christie's Paris. Find out more about the auctions by browsing the sales below or contacting our specialists.
