Asian Art Week in New York concluded with exceptional results, totaling US$77,624,774 — the highest total in five years. Nearly 900 lots were offered across seven auctions, achieving 250% of the combined low estimate and selling 89% by lot.

Important Chinese Art led the week with US$34.2 million, highlighted by a rare Yongzheng mark-and-period doucai meiping that realized US$3,033,500. South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art achieved US$27.1 million, setting a record for a sale in the category outside India, with Tyeb Mehta’s Gesture reaching US$3,979,000.

Additional highlights included an exceptional Joseon Dynasty Moon Jar, which sold for US$3,186,000, and the inaugural auction dedicated to anime and manga, Anime Starts Here: Japanese Subculture Reimagines Tradition, soared to 407% of its low estimate, reflecting the growing global appetite for popular and contemporary Asian art.
