This October, Christie’s is proud to partner with Rays of Sunshine for Brightening Lives: Works sold to benefit Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity, offering works in our upcoming sales, Post-War and Contemporary Day Sale and First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online. Both sales are held as part of Christie’s global cross-category sale series, 20th/21st Century Art. Highlights include works by Bridget Riley, Damien Hirst, Yoshitomo Nara and Tony Cragg, amongst other notable post-war and contemporary artists.
Funded solely through voluntary donations, the mission of Rays of Sunshine is to give children living with serious, life-changing and life-threatening illnesses a magical wish experience to lift the spirit and hold on through during difficult times. As part of their broader vision to make sure that children and their families know they are being held in mind, Rays of Sunshine reaches out to thousands of children each year through its community work, the provision of ward wish days, and by organising exciting activities and events.

BRIGHTENING LIVES: WORKS SOLD TO BENEFIT RAYS OF SUNSHINE CHILDREN'S CHARITY
Rays of Sunshine
Rays of Sunshine is a national charity that brightens the lives of seriously ill young people by granting wishes and providing ongoing support in hospital and within the community.
Christie’s is proud to support philanthropic initiatives through our networks, whether by facilitating the sale of artwork to benefit important causes; offering, when we can, our salerooms as a venue for fundraising events; or providing expert charity auctioneers.
