In December, Christie’s Paris presents a new series of four live and online auctions dedicated to Post-War and Contemporary art, 20th and 21th Century Design, and African and Oceanic Art.

On December 2, the Design auction offers more than 200 works by iconic artists and designers, including Jean Royère, Philippe Hiquily and François-Xavier Lalanne. Shape(s), l’Univers des Formes celebrates the aesthetics of African and Oceanic art on 3 December, highlighting the inventiveness and sculptural qualities of these works.

The Post-War and Contemporary Art session on 5 December spotlights leading artists of the 20th and the 21st centuries, from Roy Lichtenstein and Nicolas de Staël to Anthony Tàpies, among others. An online auction closes the week, offering a subtle mix between design and contemporary art, bidding opens from 1 through until 8 December.
