This December, Christie’s is pleased to collaborate with The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF) to present an online auction powered by CharityBuzz. An advocate for the AIDS crisis throughout the 1980s, Elizabeth Taylor began ETAF in 1991 to raise awareness and support for those living with and affected by HIV and AIDS. From 20 November – 18 December, browse and bid on exceptional pieces whose proceeds will help to provide resources in stopping the spread of HIV and ending the AIDS crisis. Following the Live Auction on 1 December, the Silent Auction will be live for bidding online from 1–18 December powered by CharityBuzz. Highlights of further items to be sold to benefit ETAF include a JAR ring from the Magnificent Jewels sale on 8 December at Christie’s New York.

About The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation


Working tirelessly on the AIDS crisis through the 1980s, Elizabeth Taylor established The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF) in 1991 to reach her vision of an AIDS-free world. ETAF works to provide the direct care needed for people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS. Emphasizing Elizabeth’s commitment to marginalized communities, ETAF’s work ensures that HIV prevention education and access to treatment is available through domestic and international initiatives. ETAF’s initiative HIV Is Not A Crime advocates for the modernization of criminal laws and penalties affecting people living with HIV. We now have the necessary tools to stop the spread of HIV and end the AIDS crisis with sufficient resources.

The Elizabeth Taylor Ball To End AIDS: Virtual


The Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS: Virtual will take place on World AIDS Day: 1 December 2020. The one-hour broadcast, with optional celebrity-hosted Pre-Show, will include messages from friends of Elizabeth and her namesake foundation, performances and a live auction by Christie’s. Please join us and engage with this truly unique experience — the best way to spend World AIDS Day.
