About us

Philanthropy

Art is our cornerstone, central to everything we do here at Christie’s. We believe that access to beautiful and special objects is an important part of people’s personal and cultural life and this is the lens through which we consider our activities in the workplace, community, and environment.

For over 250-years, Christie’s has the unique honour and privilege of stewarding great works of art with our clients, from one generation to another, across cultures and era. Today we continue to work closely with artists and the world’s leading art and cultural institutions.

Supporting the Dallas Contemporary Gala Auction

Chris Wolston is an American artist and designer based in Brooklyn, New York, and Medellín, Colombia. His rigorously conceptual yet playful work blends traditional techniques with a distinctly contemporary realism, arriving at an original postmodern aesthetic rooted in material fluency and environmental urgency. His pieces are held in collections worldwide, including the Museo de Antioquia, the National Museum of Qatar and the National Gallery of Victoria. His upcoming exhibition at Dallas Contemporary, on view 7 November 2025 – 1 February 2026, will showcase new and iconic works that blur the boundaries between the sculptural and the domestic, highlighting Wolston’s imaginative approach to design and material transformation.

Dallas Contemporary is a non-collecting arts space, a kunsthalle, with the mission to present the forefront of contemporary artistic practice and artistic production through exhibitions, performances and public programmes in order to advance the discovery and appreciation of the art of this moment. Dallas Contemporary aims to be a global locus of innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration in the arts.

On Saturday, 20 September 2025, Dallas Contemporary invites you to its most luminous event of the year, Gala.

Guided by Executive Director Lucia Simek (@lucia.sim), with Artistic Co-Chairs Shayna Fontana Horowitz (@shaynafontana) and Robyn Siegel (@robynsiegel) and Auction Chairs Peter Augustus Owen (@peteraugustus) and Robyn Siegel, the Gala gathers visionaries, collectors and friends in support of keeping our museum free and open to all.

Guests will share cocktails, dinner and a spirited live auction led by Christie’s during an evening of elegance and generosity that fuels Dallas Contemporary’s bold exhibitions, transformative programmes and community initiatives. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to bid on silent auction items from leading galleries and artists until the end of the night. Registration to participate in the silent auction is now open and available to all, including those unable to attend the Gala in person.
