Rembrandt paintings

Rembrandt van Rijn’s paintings are celebrated for their masterful use of light, shadow and colour. Working primarily in oil, he created portraits, biblical scenes and historical narratives that combine meticulous detail with profound psychological insight. His works are renowned for expressive brushwork, dramatic chiaroscuro and the ability to capture both physical likeness and emotional depth, solidifying his reputation as one of the greatest painters of the Dutch Golden Age.
