Christie’s Wine Department is delighted to offer this exquisite collection of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The finest name in Burgundy, the vineyards tended by the domaine are a roll-call of the best Grand Crus in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune.

Offered here is a superb parcel of those wines. Montrachet, often regarded as the most revered white wine in the world, is represented by 241 bottles from 17 vintages in this collection, available in bottles and cases stretching from 1987 through to 2014. An offering of Montrachet of this magnitude is ultra rare and this opportunity for collectors to acquire a vertical flight of this nature is unparalleled.

Grands-Echézeaux and Echézeaux feature widely across strong vintages such as 2002, 2005 and 2009. The rich and robust Richebourg and Romanée-St-Vivant in cases from the 2006 and 2010 vintages are another highlight. La Tâche is represented by 1997, 2007-2010 vintages; and the Romanée-Conti vineyard itself, is represented by the 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 vintages.

This fantastic collection of DRC was purchased by a private collector from the Domaine’s UK agent and has been stored in-bond in UK warehouses, the agents and Christie’s, until shipment for this historic sale. Majority of the wines are in original wooden cases and banded. The wines were inspected by our London wine team and shipped to Hong Kong via temperature-controlled air freight.
