Christie’s is honored to present The collection of Prince and Princess Sadruddin Aga Khan. This collection was displayed in their Geneva home, Bellerive Castle. The Aga Khan’s gathered an outstanding collection from a variety of cultures across the globe, reflecting their essence with this universal, yet very personal selection of fascinating objects and masterpieces. The 17th and 18th century furniture interact with pieces by Diego Giacometti or Claude Lalanne, antique paintings are in dialogue with Picasso’s works, while Orientalist pieces resonate with pieces by Isabelle de Borchgrave.

The couple, who maintained close friendships with many artists, were committed to featuring modern creations in their collection. Therefore the sale includes superb candlesticks and tables by Claude Lalanne together with several works by Philippe Hiquily.

Henri Samuel, one of the most exclusive interior designer of the 20th Century, was in charge of the decoration of this stunning château on the shore of Geneva Lake.
