European Sculpture & Works of Art

Sale Overview
Featured during Classic Week, European Sculpture & Works of Art will take place on the 4 December offering fine and exceptional works from the 12th to the 19th century. The earliest work in the sale is a re-discovered Romanesque Anglo-Norman bronze processional or altar cross (lot 6). This season’s sale is marked by a focus on Italian Renaissance sculpture, including a glazed terracotta group of the Virgin and Child by Andrea Della Robbia (lot 24) and a number of bronze statuettes headlined by the pair of powerful Nude Male Figures on Panthers (lot 39). The sale also features rare and exotic works of art such as a Venetian mother-of-pearl inlaid casket decorated with hunting scenes (lot 48). Take virtual tour>
