The sale of Important Chinese Lacquer from the Lee Family Collection, Part III realised HK$34,928,500 (US$4,530,226) with an overall sold rate of 72% by lot and 77% by value.  Pola Antebi, International Director of the Chinese Ceramics & Works of Art Department, said, “The sale offered the third and final part of Chinese lacquer from the Lee Family Collection, regarded as the most researched and exhibited single-owner lacquer collection. This was the first time a series of sales has been dedicated to a single-owner collection of lacquer. Strong Asian interest, supported by international participation, underlined the sale, indicative of the strength of this collecting category in the region.”
