Our sale features works from across India, the Himalayas, and Southeast Asia, including two rare Central Indian red sandstone figures of Salabhanjika from the collection of Herbert and Florence Irving, both with early documented provenance. Other highlights include an important thirteenth-century Nepalese gilt-copper figure of Padmapani Lokeshvara, an extensively-published rare gilt-copper figure of Avalokiteshvara from the Khasa Malla kingdom of Nepal, and a rare Chinese painting of Chakrasamvara dated to the reign of the Chenghua Emperor.
