On 24 May, Christie’s will hold its Photographs auction in Paris. 123 works from the 20th and 21st century will be presented by leading practitioners of the medium; Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, Robert Mapplethorpe, Hiro, Nan Goldin, Candida Hofer, Hiroshi Sugimoto & Marina Abramovic. A key highlight of the auction is Fashion Photographs from the Susanne von Meiss Collection with works by established fashion photographers such as Richard Avedon, Sarah Moon and Edward Steichen; to those lesser known in the field like Franck Christen and Len Prince. A true glimpse into this genre over the past 80 years, curated with a particular collector’s vision.

Le 24 mai, Christie’s présentera sa vente de Photographies majoritairement tournée vers les artistes du XXe et XXIe siècles. 123 œuvres réalisées par les figures majeures de la photographie seront proposées, à l’instar de Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, Robert Mapplethorpe, Hiro, Nan Goldin, Candida Höfer, Hiroshi Sugimoto ou encore Marina Abramovic.
Cette vente fera également la part belle à la collection Fashion Photographs from the Susanne von Meiss Collection rassemblant des grands noms de la photographie de mode comme Richard Avedon, Sarah Moon et Edward Steichen ; et des artistes moins connus, tels que Franck Christen et Len Prince. Un véritable aperçu de la photographie de mode des quatre-vingt dernières années à travers la vision d'une collectionneuse éclairée.
