Christie’s New York presents the Post-War to Present auction on 1 October, the leading platform showcasing today’s leading artistic voices as well as the celebrated figures of the post-war period. The sale is defined by fresh perspectives on figuration through the works of Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, Hernan Bas and Antony Gormley. The auction also features pioneering artists of the post-war era, such as Alex Katz, Richard Diebenkorn, Bob Thompson and Wayne Thiebaud, as well as exceptional works from bold artistic voices in the contemporary art discourse, including Charline von Heyl, Takako Yamaguchi, and Mark Grotjahn. Highlights include Gerhard Richter’s Abstraktes Bild (1990), as well as exceptional selections from the collection of Laura Lee Brown and Steve Wilson, the collection Robert Shimshak and Marion Brenner, and the Rosa de la Cruz collection.
