Stillness of the Enlightened Mind - Chinese Buddhist Art

Sale Overview
Chinese Ceramics And Works of Art achieved HK$488,856,000 / US$63,355,738
“Highlights of Chinese Buddhist art included a Ming dynasty early 15th century gilt-bronze figure of Amitayus and two exceedingly rare famille rose seated figures of Luohan from the Qing dynasty, 18th century. An exquisite Mughal white jade jar dating from the 16th-17th century and a Qing dynasty large white jade lotus group both exceeded their high estimates. The Yidetang Collection was 100% sold, testifying to collectors’ continued interest in exceptional jade carvings,” said Chi Fan Tsang, Head of Christie’s Chinese Ceramics & Works of Art Department.
