The paintings sale on 30 March brings together 80 works spanning five centuries of art history, many from private European collections. Highlights include a baroque The Prodigal Son by Francesco Cairo, in superb condition, and a Virgin and St John at the Foot of the Cross by Hans Schäufelein, an artist rarely seen at auction. The catalogue also features notable discoveries such as the first known portrait of King Louis XVIII by Juste d’Egmont, alongside a fine selection of 19th century paintings which includes Eugène Latteux's Vue de Vérone and a naturalist oil by Jean-Eugène Buland.
