The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900

Sale Overview
Following the great success of the inaugural sale of Old Master drawings from the I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection at Christie’s King Street in July 2014, the next dedicated sale from this collection, to be held in Amsterdam on 10 December, presents a rich selection of Dutch and Flemish drawings. Spanning the 16th to the 20th centuries the sale comprises around 300 lots of 400 drawings with estimates ranging from €600 to €100,000; lots with a low estimate below €2,000 are to be offered without reserve. Highlights include works by Hendrick Goltzius, Jacques de Gheyn II, Adriaen and Isaac van Ostade, Jozef and Isaac Israels and Kees van Dongen among many others. A selection of highlights will be on view at Christie’s South Kensington from 25 November to 1 December.
