On 14 March, The Jim Irsay Collection: Icons of Music boasts a curated selection of exceptional guitars, representing over a century of American guitar design and craftsmanship. From rare vintage examples to beautiful custom-made acoustic guitars, this auction will include the finest instruments by the “Holy Trinity of guitars”: C.F. Martin & Co., Gibson and Fender Electric Instrument Co., as well as other marques. Highlights include a rare 1958 Gibson Les Paul ‘Burst’, a 1939 Martin D-45 and a Gibson Custom Order Flying V, circa 1971.

Nathalie Ferneau

Head of Sale, Junior Specialist | Private & Iconic Collections

Nathalie Ferneau is a junior specialist in the Private and Iconic collections department. She has acted as head of sale for exciting Iconic sales such as The Collection of André Leon Talley (2023), The Collection of Sir Elton John: Goodbye Peachtree Road (2023) and most recently Unapologetically Iris: The Collection of Iris Apfel (2025). Nathalie has also contributed to landmark collection sales such as The Ann and Gordon Getty Collection (2022-2023) and Gen One: Innovations from the Paul G. Allen Collection (2024).

Prior to joining the Private and Iconic team, Nathalie worked in the Christie’s Antiquities department. She holds a BA in Classical Archaeology from Dartmouth College.

Amelia Walker is a Director of Christie’s and Specialist Head of the Private & Iconic Collections department, with over 18 years of experience in the organisation and sale of multi-category private, iconic and country house collections. Since joining in 2006, Christie's has sold countless Iconic, Royal, Aristocratic and Connoisseur collections including those of Mark Knopfler, The Princess Margaret, the Earl Spencer, Sting, Audrey Hepburn, Margaret Thatcher, Roger Federer, Charlie Watts, the Rothschild family, and many more. Amelia is interested in all aspects of collecting, both ‘fine’ and decorative art, from antiquity to the contemporary and has had privileged access to some of the world's most wonderful works of art. She loves nothing more than meeting collectors, researching and valuing their collections and unearthing the provenance and story behind each object, picture, or piece of memorabilia.
