Sixty Years of James Bond, the official two-part charity auction presented by Christie’s and EON Productions, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of 007 on the silver screen, raised a fantastic total of £6,874,494. The 61 lots presented across the live and online auctions were 100% sold. The auction vendors, led by EON Productions, are donating 100% of their auction proceeds to over 45 nominated charitable causes, and Christie’s is also donating 100% of the profitable proceeds from the buyer’s premium to the charities.

The top lot of Part I Live Auction was the No Time To Die Aston Martin replica DB5 stunt car, selling for an impressive £2,922,000. Lively bidding saw a Swarovski crystal-mounted prop egg made by Asprey, London from the film Octopussy reach £327,600, some 54 times its pre-sale low estimate of £6,000. Proceeds from that lot will benefit UNICEF, in honour of the late Sir Roger Moore. The No Time To Die Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE stunt motorcycle closed the spectacular evening achieving £138,600 for Severn Hospice.

The Part II Online Auction remained open for bidding for a week after the live sale, closing on James Bond Day on 5 October with a total of £770,994 for the remaining 36 lots. The star item was a complete set of Ian Fleming works, reaching £81,900 against a pre-sale high estimate of £5,000 to benefit Papyrus. Additional highlights included a Café Martinique menu from Thunderball achieving £60,480, more than 50 times its pre-sale high estimate to benefit Rosa, and a Casino Royale facsimile script, realising £69,300 for Women in Film & Television, rounding up this wonderful two-part James Bond anniversary auction.
