A BRASS-BARRELLED FLINTLOCK BLUNDERBUSS

EARLY 19TH CENTURY

Converted from flintlock, with three-stage barrel belled at the muzzle, inscribed 'London' on the octagonal breech, and fitted with a spring bayonet above, engraved flat bevelled lock with safety-catch and roller, walnut full stock (minor cracks and bruising), engraved brass mounts including trigger-guard with pineapple finial, and vacant brass escutcheon (ramrod missing), London and Birmingham proof marks
