LATE 16TH/EARLY 17TH CENTURY
Decorated in gold hiramakie and inlaid in mother-of-pearl on black lacquered ground, the sides with shaped panels of tachibana, flowers and foliage divided by bands of geometric designs, gilt metal carrying handles, the top with scrolling foliage, eight drawers of varying sizes with similar decoration, the central drawer of architectural form, engraved gilt kanagu, (the drop front missing, some old wear and damage, some knob handles of drawers replaced)
