Burt Glinn was sent to record exclusively Elizbeth Taylor's first days on and off the set of the film 'Suddenly Last Summer'. The movie, her first since 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' in 1958 had proved a challenge after her recent marriage to Eddie Fisher. They had married under a wave of adverse publicity because Fisher had divorced Debbie Reynolds to marry Taylor and she had only recently been mourning the death of her previous husband Mike Todd. Consequently the making of the film received a lot of attention. The film starred Katherine Hepburn and Montgomery Clift, a good friend of Taylor's who would support her during the filming.
