A LATE LOUIS XVI ORMOLU-MOUNTED WHITE AND BLACK MARBLE MANTEL CLOCK
The circular enamelled dial with Arabic chapters inscribed Courvoisier à Paris, surmounted by a plinth with an eagle and hung with swags, the lower section with a foliate mount, the portico surmounted by fruiting urns and with pilasters surmounted by maiden busts, flanked by floral volutes with flowering urn-finials, the breakfront base with beaded edge and plaque with music-making putti flanked by paterae, on waisted circular feet, the mount to the underside of the dial lacking a medallion, the bell with various numerical inscriptions, both uprights with a restored break, partially remounted in the 19th Century
